Online Therapy At Your Convinence
A safe, compassionate space to heal at your own pace.
Taking the step to reach out for therapy can feel daunting, but it's also a powerful act of self-care. You don’t have to go through things alone. I'm committed to offering a space that feels supportive, reliable and free of judgement. Together, we can explore what healing and growth look like for you, at your own pace.
Elisabeth Carrigg, LCPC
Welcome. Therapy, at its best, can lead to emotional freedom—a greater sense of choice, clarity, and ease in how you relate to yourself and others. I offer virtual therapy sessions grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when your unique experiences, values, and needs are truly understood and respected.
My work is trauma-aware and informed by evidence-based approaches, but the center of our work is you. Sessions are collaborative, paced with care, and shaped around what feels most important in your life right now. I aim to provide a space that feels steady, compassionate, and flexible—one where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself perfectly, or rush toward answers.
With extensive experience in crisis support, group therapy, and individual counseling, I work to ensure that clients feel deeply seen, genuinely supported, and emotionally safe as they explore patterns, make meaning of their experiences, and move toward healing in their own time and in their own way.

I have spent over two decades working in the field of psychology and mental health, with experience spanning crisis intervention, inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, research, community mental health, and private practice. I am licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor and have worked with adults across a wide range of clinical contexts.
Long before I became a therapist, I was drawn to understanding human behavior—why we do what we do, how people cope with pain, and what helps healing take root. During college, I worked at a suicide prevention hotline, an experience that shaped my respect for vulnerability and the importance of being fully present with someone in distress. After graduating, I worked in a psychiatric hospital with children and adolescents, followed by several years as a research assistant in child psychology at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
During graduate school, I provided counseling services to college students through a university health center and later worked in community mental health. I then returned to hospital-based care, where I have held multiple roles over the years, including crisis intervention in the emergency department, inpatient psychiatric care, and group therapy in an outpatient mental health program. In parallel, I began working in private practice, where I have provided individual psychotherapy for the past eight years.
Across these settings, my work has been guided by curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I am less interested in labels or quick solutions and more interested in understanding the patterns, histories, and emotional worlds that shape how people relate to themselves and others. I believe that feeling genuinely understood can be profoundly healing, and that therapy can help people move toward lives marked by greater freedom, clarity, and self-trust.
I remain endlessly fascinated by people and their stories, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they make sense of their experiences and work toward lives that feel more authentic and meaningful.
